Helpful hints for building coops

I ended up selling 10 chickens today.
Tomorrow i head back to FL.

Today was Mom's funeral. My sons and their families came. My brother didn't.
We went out for lunch together afterward. It was nice to all be together.

Back in FL, need to get busy on stalls for the goats. While in FL, i set up an electric fence system for my son as a Xmas gift. One of his dogs is a fence climber.

Today i have to shovel rabbit poop out of the barn. Then get busy with stall building. Going to build 4 pens, 4 feet wide and about 6 feet long. The Momma goats will stay in the stalls at night until they kid. Then spend a couple days in there, to bond with babies.

Got 2 Mule loads of rabbit poo out of the barn, one went to my neighbor for her garden and one to my flower garden.
Dug a trench to put rocks and concrete in at one end of the goat stall. Plan to do the whole 20 foot wall on that side. The big root had to be in the way, had to do a lot of hacking on that.
One cattle panel up, but it needs chicken wire on it to keep the babies in. Tomorrow i build the gate. Still need a hay rack and heat lamp cage built.

The gate for the first stall is build and hung. I also built a cage for the heat lamp and hung it. And a holder for the goat feeder. It's in place too. Plus i got another piece of cattle panel up.
Hubby dug the rest of the ditch , and put in the concrete blocks. I didn't get time to add rocks or pour concrete. Busy all day.

Windy, the girl that ran away the day we brought her home, is in the first pen.

Plan to finish the second pen today and put Misty in it.

Had a morning dental appointment, so shopping while i am in town.

Progress! One more door to make , then dig out excess dirt. Build 2 feed bin holders, heat lamp holders and hay racks.
