I'd love to be able to use an electric weed whacker without dragging all that cord behind me.
It is wonderful! He got me that for an anniversary present. He said it was as much a present for himself, as it gave him a second battery for his chainsaw.

How heavy a whacking job will it handle?

We've got an area with a lot of root sprouts from scrub oaks we cut down.
I've taken down 1/8"-3/16" woody stuff, no problem. 1/4" stuff too, on occasion. Mostly I'm taking out grass and weeds. If I get too close to the garden fence, it will bend the wire. Fence is 2x3 welded wire.

Probably $200-225...? It comes with one battery. I like not having to wear ear muffs. I do wear a bug net over my glasses (and sunglasses, if it's bright) to protect my face from flying debris.

I have a Stihl gas chain saw. and an Eager Beaver corded electric chain saw. Now I want a battery pole chain saw. I have a Cub Cadet weed wacker,
It runs on straight gas, no oil mixing.
It seems to me to be too powerful. It just tears the heck out of the strings.
I never run it wide open.
I don't want a battery that runs for a long time. I want to take lots of breaks. lolol

I can't lift a gas powered weed whacker or a gas chainsaw.

The older battery-powered tools were also too heavy for me.

But the DeWalt 20v tools are within my capabilities.

I picked enough rhubarb from the young plants to make a pie.
I am the only one here that eats it.
that breaks my heart. lolol
today I am going to assemble the first T post support for a grape vine.
I hope it works.
So far the new grapes haven't shown any sign of growth.
but it has been cold and rainy so maybe the high temps of this next week will wake things up.
GS showed me how to send pictures with this new computer.
Only problem is, the pictures are HUGE. We haven't figured out how to diminish their size yet.

Get some goat or rabbit manure, that will get your grapes vines growing!

Yeah, rabbit or goat manure,.
this is when I miss my chickens.
a while back there was a lady selling bags of alpaca manure. stupid me, didn't get her name/number.
I will have to settle for composted cow manure this time.
I bought some yesterday. they gouged me 33% from last year.
everybody is jumping on the band wagon..
