8" of snow overnight, very windy, and ~5°F.
Still blowing and snowing like mad.....truly a blizzard.
Hard to know how much today so far with the wind blowing hard all day, at least 4-5 "
But the power is on!! I am **so grateful**.
Me too. Quite a few folks in our area have power outages! It feels like 3° here! At that rate the river will freeze over, possibly.

My work was on generator this morning and having some fluctuations.

I'm glad that the company hadn't taken the generator back to wherever they keep it because apparently our competition down the road wasn't so lucky and had to close for a while. But the power did fluctuate enough to knock down the cash registers, leaving people stranded in line while they rebooted.

Having been on the worker end of that, and seeing customers get so angry at me for something I can't "hurry up and fix," has made me very patient when I'm on the customer end.

60% of the USA is under this cold weather
advisory.
minus 13 with chill factor of minus 38.
a couple more inches of snow on top of the four inches.
I baked mashed potato dinner rolls today. mainly to
run the oven and help keep it warm in the house.
tomorrow the guy with the truck is coming to
plow us out. big pile at the end of the driveway pushed
there by the township snow plow.
Lots of ice shacks on the lake. no vehicles , yet. the
deep snow prevents the ice from building.

Yesterday it warmed up to -4F.
Not unusual for WI.
It's crazy the low temps in more southern states.
We haven't gotten below zero this storm, must be the lake is still warm enough to temper things....sure can make a lot of snow tho. We're up to about 16", more to come today.
