Helping a malpositioned duckling

If it were me, I'd wait a little longer before opening any more of the shell. Those wrong end ones can take more time.

@megka03 another pic would be helpful. How pointed is the egg? The really pointy ones are usually the ones that seem to need more help. Rounded ones seem to do fine on their own.... eventually.

Yes...Timing is needed. I've hatched many and it all depends on knowing if ready or not?
 
There’s still blood so I’ve let him be again. Egg is pointy. I don’t think he’s going to come out all on his own. Yes, delicate timing is what it’ll be I think. His foot is by his beak.
That's normal for r foot by the Bill..
Just keep waiting another 6 hours I'm thinking and then see..

It's possible that he has more than one malpostion, like foot over head, or bill over wing. Either of these will make it harder for him to hatch on his own.

I think you are doing great, so keep doing what you are doing.
