My goose is 18 and although she looks fine and she walks fine, she has stopped getting in her kiddie pool and as you know it's hot. I have one of those 3 ft kiddie pools. She used to just put one foot on the edge and hop in for the last 18 years, so I'm wondering if anyone has some ideas to make it easier for her to get in and out. Maybe she has arthritis or something scared her. Also I'm moving so it can't be anything permanent at this point. I did put some paver blocks on one side but that didn't seem to help her. TIA!

Perhaps giving her something smaller and easier to get in may help. I use some shallow rubber pans for mine that they will sit in. I fill up multiple ones.

I would have suggested pavers and making a ramp or stairs, but it sounds like she's not comfortable using that.

Can you show me one or link it? I've not seen anything more shallow that holds enough water. I bought land once with 1/3 acre pond just for her and she never used that either. haha

We have this one that holds a goose, it may still be too deep for her, this one is plastic,

This one is more shallow, and mine will get in it and sit down.

The tractor supply and most farm stores carry different sizes of these rubber tubs. I use them everywhere.
I have that first one, it's deeper than my pool which is 7 inches, 5 inches with the pavers. Thanks for the ideas, I'll have a look at TSC.
