HelpMe!! Emergency! My Rooster lost top of beak! (Pics)

well, I can get you articles (avian specialist) on beak injuries and what can be done (exact instructions and supplies) > you can email these to your vet (I am sure he has collegues who can help him out) .... as many of these things are specialized dental supplies (think the special "glues" and such for bone etc. > these are not things you can buy at the drugstore)....
horrendous injuries can be fixed but you must have the proper supplies (or know enough to know which are suitable substitutes)

ETA: For now I would slather the entire injury in honey... yep you heard right honey... I will post an article on that shortly

Oh I'm so sorry this happened and I know you'd do anything to be able to go back in time as you said. That isn't possible though and this isn't your fault at all, all you can do is move forward now. No one could have predicted it, and though I doubt it helps much, I know you'll try to help, and find the right path with this.

Try to remember that things happen sometimes no matter how perfect things are, and sometimes in situations that look deadly, birds, pets, people etc NEVER get hurt, there's just no way to predict it. Roos get worked up and carry on and there's not much to do about it.

Again,

I'm really sorry for you both.

Yup their is no point trying to find a vet to do something like this. he is enough pain. I am will just let him go. He is a sweet guy. I feel bad to have to make this descision. But it is the best thing for him.

Bye bye sweety

This wasnt the first time this happened to him. But it wasnt nearly as severe.

If the bone and cuticle is still there, there is a chance it can grow out... however, it is very painful and akin to having your finger nail pulled off. It will take many months to heal and it may never heal just right.

Just do what you think is right for the little guy and that is all you an do.

I will try to see if he can eat on his own tommarrow.
But if not he is going to heaven...

But I will not hold it of if he is miserable

I had a duck 6 years ago get its entire bill bitten off by a raccoon.
It runs in my mind everyday. Its hard to live with.
I have seen some gruesome stuff. But I can't imagine at all how this little guy is feeling. I am sure pain.

I know it's not quite the same but I got my Big Toe Nail ripped completely out on June 8 and it still hasn't grown back yet. But, a beak may grow faster.

I feel so sorry for you and your guy.
