HELPP WHAT IS THIS ON MY DUCKS??

I just got my duckling 4 days ago. I’m guessing they are a about 2-3 weeks old. While i was petting them i notice the two curled up feathers which are really small. And it is located close to above their tails. Are they male feathers? Why would they show up so young? Or is it something else?

Looks like their oil/ preening gland! Nothing to worry about, that’s where they produce oil to coat their feathers.

I'm guessing you are talking about the little bump, that is their oil gland used for preening. Welcome to BackYard Chickens!
