HELPPP!!! WHAT DO I DO!!

I've heard my chickadee peeping since 4:15pm and it is now 11:38pm... i hear him peeping loudly and he's rocking about alot but still no signs of external piping. i don't want him to suffer or die... how long before i try to help?? how long from internal piping til external piping??

Just leave it alone. Sometimes it takes 24 hours or more. Usually more harm than good is done when we try to "help" them out of an egg.
