Hen abscess

Hello, I’m new here and I have joined to find some possible help with my hen.
I have had silkie bantams for about 10 years now and have had barely any problems. Today when checking up on one of my more independent hens I quickly noticed she had developed a abscess on her head. I was wondering if anyone could possibly tell me what’s happening with her and how to treat it.
