My hen pooped out worms two days ago and they were roundworms so I got wazine 17 to worm her. I put the right amount in their water and she drank quite a bit this morning. She also hasn't layed an egg in around 1 month. I went down to check on them about an hour ago and she was in the nesting box. She hasn't got in the box since her last egg which was about a month ago. So I thought she might be laying an egg but I went down an hour later and she is still in there but no egg!! Also she tried to bite me which she had never done before! What do you think is wrong, maybe the wormer because she hasn't been wormed before. Any ideas?

Sitting in the nest and pecking sounds broody. Maybe she's gearing up to start laying again and has a strong brooding instinct. I'll bet it's just coincidence that it happened at the same time as being wormed. Remember that if she does start laying, you have to toss her eggs for a certain amount of time (look on the Wazine bottle for how many days. 7, I think?) after her last dose.

but the problem is, is that she is a sex- link and they hardly ever go broody, or so i've been told. But she is around 2 years old and has never tried to go broody and we have had a rooster before. Do you think it could possibly be from the wazine killing the worms that it is making her feel sick and want to lay around?

Nahh find some other eggs and see if she stays on them and you can either let her sit and find her some fertile eggs or just take her off the nest and keep her off if you don't want any chicks.
