We have BO's., was supposed to 4 hens, but think we ended up with a rooster, they are 3 months old. Anyways, the rooster is real sweet still, and hope he stays that way, however one of the hens, one of the friendliest, is getting more aggressive everyday. They shouldn't be ready to lay yet for another 3-4 weeks from what I have been told but are getting closer as they are reddening up. A couple of days ago, when I went to tuck them into bed..lol..I always pet them and say good night, one of the hens attacked my hand as if to say get out of here. She doesn't like me petting any of them, including herself. During the day yesterday she was nice and would follow me around, even let me pick her up. Today when I went into the pen, she came running at me as if to say get out. I can tell when she is about to attack and will move my hands away. Today I ran at her and she ran away from me. Is this normal behavior? I swear she acts like a rooster should and the rooster acts like the hen.
