Hen adopts chicks

This is the second time we have tricked a hen into raising baby chicks. This hen went broody so I put a ceramic egg under her and kept collecting any good eggs that appeared. This is her first time going broody and she was not responsible enough to go back to correct nest box each time whenever she went out. At around 19 days I pulled out the fake egg and put six chicks (one day old Sapphire Gems) from TSC under her. She had no problems with them. If she thought about it she would have wondered how she got six chicks from one egg. She is one proud mama.
