Hen adopts older chick

How sweet! I once had a buff silkie hen that adopted guinea chicks and later she adopted a duckling that was several days old

I must have had serious beginners luck then! Not knowing any better I gave my Buff Orpington a set of chicks a few weeks old and she adopted them without a problem.

I have an 8 week psycho Tolbunt Polish that was in Chicken hospital forweeks after being pecked nearly to death by tge flock. I put her in with 4 one week old CL chicks I hatched. (All roos, anyone want one? ) Anyway, Pop Top is a new chickenwith being a mama.Sort of....

AWWHH! That's so sweet!
I had an easter egger chick that was almost 2 months old not growing out like she should have been. Then I got 7 new day-old chicks, and I put her in the pin with the babies. Well, she became their adopted mommy, and it's so sweet! They follow her around the yard like their lives depend on it!
