Hen and Chick going bald, not molting

both a hen and a chick are going bald with whitish scaly skin beneath. Can chickens get ring worm? should I try a fungicide on them?

Are they perhaps feather picking? Are there noticeable feathers always in your coop? If not they may be eating them for more protein...

Boredom resulting from small space can also cause this, but I see you are an active member here so likely you know this already, but these are my first thoughts.
