My gals found a California Newt today and after a brief tug of war between the two dominant hens, that bright orange, highly toxic amphibian was lunch. So far, there is no indication of poisoning. Could it be that my chicken is immune to the neurotoxin, and should I be worried about the eggs? For how long?

I would wait the second they show any change minor things or major I'm not sure if the vet can do anything I don't live in California so I would not know I would look for the symptoms of the poison and check on the hen often

I should have researched before posting if they show wheezing or trouble breathing or looks paralyzed the toxins on the skin glands could kill it how long has it been it takes 20 minutes on a human for said symptoms to start
