My hen was attacked by a dog in her back, right next to her neck. I have been cleaning with soap and water and hydrogen peroxide. I have applied triple antibiotic cream. I have been doing this for 3 days and her wound doesn't seem to be healing. It is a deep wound and you can see some of her insides. Her skin looks to be drying and there is some dark colored skin around the wound. What should I do?

.

Would it be possible to get pictures of the wound? It would help us see the severity of the wound easier and will allow for better options for your situation.

If you use hydrogen peroxide it should be diluted greatly in water. This will eat good skin as well as bad so you should watch this.

The antibiotic ointment is good and it sounds like it should be covered. Also if it were my bird I would give an antibiotic.

This is the best picture. Its purple because I applied blu-lotion. But the red circle is where the open wound is and her inside is showing.thx
