The meds may be bitter. You can try adding a little honey to whatever you mix it in to disguise the taste.

If you have questions about her wounds you can post pictures. We have seen plenty of graphic injuries here.

I will add you could continue with VCO (virgin coconut oil) on her skin. It has a lot of good properties and it could help keep her skin from pulling at the stitches.

I'm sorry to hear your hen was injured. It sounds like you have been treating the wound well, getting vet care and meds was the best thing to do.

I see you have some great suggestions about getting medication into her - I agree, it may be bitter, so mixing it with a little sweetened yogurt may do the trick. I hope she continues to improve, keep us posted.
