Hen attacked by owl

The western screech owl does not screech but the eastern screeches.

I’m honestly not too familiar with owls, I live in the desert in California. I always called them screech owls because all night I hear them screech in the trees.

Update:
She’s doing well, seems as if nothing ever happened. So I’m guessing she got really lucky and her behavior was just that she was in shock.. New learning experience for me!

That's great. It's a rule of thumb things but if a sick bird here will eat solids then there's hope.
