Hen becoming a rooster??

My 5-6 month old hen has been getting more plump and started crowing like a rooster. I read that it is because the rooster is not present and is becoming the alpha but I’m not sure. She is crowing only in the morning for 10 minutes at least but is she possessing traits that is normal for a hen or is she really a rooster? My roosters are still not crowing since they are 3-4 months of age

Hi there. Can you post a picture of the hen/roo?

It would be very unusual for a bird that young to transition or even take on traits of a dominant old hen. Possibly it's been a cockerel all along. A picture would help.

Roosters cluck, they talk to the girls, etc. A pic of comb and saddle area will tell a lot.
