Hen Cackled but no egg

The will make the exact noise that they make after laying an egg when they get startled. If I move something too quick or lets say adjust my jacket or take it off they'll all cackle, even the roosters! So maybe something in the coop moved or maybe one chicken startled another?

Yes, my hens cackle sometimes when my rooster tries to breed! Maybe that's what it was.

P.S, for chickens to crunch up their food properly they must have pebbles, so give them some small pebbles so they can stay healthy

. Usually they'd naturally find pebbles but since they can't go outside you should give them pebbles.

It could be a good sign. My chickens became very vocal before they started laying, however I have not had a chicken that stopped laying eggs for reasons other than a molt.
