Hen cannibalizing newly hatched chicks

We have 2 buff rock hens sitting on eggs and today 3 hatched and they killed two and I managed to save the third though it has a couple of wounds to it's head so I am not sure if she will make it. I took the remaining eggs away from those hens as I was scared they would continue the behavior. Was that the right thing to do? What do I do with those hens now? We have another one that is successfully raising her 4 chicks. Are these two destined for the stewing pot? Help?!

I would have taken the eggs away as well, as long as you have an incubator ready to put them in. Im not sure what to do with the hens now though. Have they hatched chicks before?
