Hen cannot pick up head

I would hold water in a small cup or scoop right up to her beak often. Adding water to all foods can help get more into her. It may take some time for her neck soreness and bruising to go away. A low dose half of an 81 mg aspirin can be given 1-2 times a day for pain for up to 3 days.

Update: she is losing interest in food and water. We made her a food mash with her pellets and water. Her bruise is turning green. She is extremely lethargic

Wow, the bruise is bright green, isn’t it? So sorry that she seems worse. Would you be interested in tube feeding her to see if she perks up? Brain swelling can get worse by the second and third day, if that is why she is so bad, and it can improve the 4th day. Tubing her fluids, electrolytes with vitamins, raw egg, and yogurt is possible with a length of aquarium air tubing or oxygen tubing, or small tubing from a home center. Those will fit a 10-35 ml syringe from a feed store. A large proper feed tube and syringe can be purchased later for food. Feeding 2-3 times a day is easy to learn, would keep her nourished and hydrated while she recovers. You can get an extra pair of hands to try it, but it would become easier to do alone. There is no guarantee that she will recover if she has brain or internal injuries. Here is a video and info on tube feeding:
