I was wondering if anyone had experienced a hen crowing in their flock. What are some reasons that this would occur? She's a year and a half old and a Silver Laced Wyandotte. I'm positive she's a hen, she lays eggs!

Well, hens don't crow and roosters don't lay eggs. So it is a really weird chicken that lays eggs and crows (I would advise selling it then, you might make a fortune), or it is a rooster, and that another hen is laying the eggs you think this one is laying.

She's definitely a hen, she isn't with any birds right now and we are still finding eggs..
Here she is

I'm not sure how to post a video from my phone, but it's exactly like a rooster crow. That's interesting that others have experienced the same thing! I wonder why this happens?

I don't know! It may have something to do with there not being a rooster in the flock. And I know, it sounds exactly like a crow.

So weird. I'm sorry you had to get rid of your babies! I'm not allowed to have a rooster here in the city, so I'm hoping she stops soon or no one complains
