I've had this rosecomb and shes over 3 months looks 100% female but she crows so...? She was kept in the house by herself for a bit and I read a hen in isolation could crow like a rooster! But shes been sleeping in the coop now but she STILL CROWS and I have 2 roosters so theres no need!!! I hope its not a rare spontaneous sexreversal:(or maybe it's been a roo the whole time😂

Wow, super cute girl!! I don't know too much, but have heard that some hens can and will crow.. She does look like a hen to me? I'd find her to be a very special and vocal hen 😂not sure if she will stop or not, but maybe being around roosters will get her to acting like a normal hen?

Did 'she' have those really red wattles 4-6 weeks ago?
Little too early for hackles and saddles to be obvious.

What breed is it? I 'oftenly' see saddle feathers pop up at around 2 months old. Maybe other breeds are different, but it looks like a hen to me as of now. I had a chick that I was almost certain was destined to be a roo, only to see now its 4 months old and looks like a really pretty pullet. She just had a lot of red around her comb and she grew so fast...

I'm guessing that's an older picture? Do you have a current one? The gold leakage in the wings would indicate cockerel.

Also, where did this bird come from? Wondering if it's a sebright cross.

theyve always been quite red but just started to notice them enlarge within the last week and a half or so

I got her from a guy in Moncton NB back at the beginning of February she was a week or so then, and i was told it was an Easter egger... but she never looked like one and her growth has been pretty slow, I know shes a rosecomb mixed with something I've always tried to figure it out! And that pic was from about 2 weeks ago I will get and updated one soon!!
