Hen? Crowing?!

Well, she looks like a pullet.... so she's just going to crow. She may not lay eggs, and may grow male feathering. Or she could crow and lay eggs. Totally a "wait and see" type thing.
She's an adorable little floof. :love
Thank you! We don’t mind her not laying eggs, as long as we get to keep her! :thumbsup

She is not a rooster.... believe me we thought so too! Her crowing is horrible! She sounds like a goat, and that’s complimenting it! :gig She has no Spurs not even stubs! And she has horrible posture, unlike the roosters they had lots of it!
I’m horrible at sexing silkies; I’m very interested to see what others have to say. She / he is super cute though.

I have had hens crow before, even with a rooster in residence. They usually sound awful, and thankfully it has usually been a short lived thing with them. It think they do it for the same reason as the roo's, just to let the world know 'hey, I'm here!'. I don't have silkies so have no clue how to sex them, but I would give it some time.

Ok thank you! Good news :yesss:
