Hen defecated watery substance, acting a little sluggish.

Dawg I really was not saying she killed her hen Im sure she did not i just know its dangerous and scary . Ive delivered everything from c section on rabbit to pulling a foal.
chickens , ducks Geese are hard to work with . for the reason given above and i really hope i did not make anyone feel bad .

I know what you're saying. Sometimes you have to weigh out what's worse-sure painful death from an impacted egg, or potential harm to soft tissues. Yes it is dangerous and scary!

Dawg, I skip the glove and go right to the olive oil, LOL

When chickens die, they often flap around before they die. I had one in my arms that did that.

Thanks Dawg, for your info. As an RN, I didn't feel like I was hurting her. I checked for an egg, but didn't find any just inside. But she was definitely inflamed. Maybe it was a peritonitis? Thanks again. Henalay Lady
