Hen died after being limp for one day?!?!

We have one nearby, but I’m not sure that’s what it is. What are the symptoms? And would DenaGuard work for an antibiotic?

It doesn’t sound like that, she doesn’t have bloody poop, and she is limp. A symptom that doesn’t connect to Cocci. To be completely honest, I’m more worried about the rest of the flock, I have 45 birds and if there’s an outbreak that would be VERY BAD. It honestly is starting to sound more like an injury or fluke. Your opinion?

If she dies or has already died, save her body in a plastic garbage bage, so that you can send it in to your state poultry labe early Monday morning to get a necropsy. If she is still alive try to get her to drink some water with vitamins and electrolytes or NutriDrench. Two diseases come to mind, either Mareks disease or coccidiosis. But it could be something else, such as poisoning, botulism, or others. Many birds with coccidiosis do not have blood in their poop, but may have runny poops with mucus. Watch your others for any signs of standing around puffed up, not eating, or runny poops. If so, treat right away with Corid in the water, 2 tsp in each gallon of water for 5 days. Sorry for your loss.

How long does it take for Mareaks to kill a bird?

I honestly have know idea what this is the flock has no other symptoms. I felt and she doesn’t seem to be egg bound and she doesn’t have bloody poop. I’m REALLY hoping it’s not Mareaks. She’s 8 months old, can she still get that?

How likely is it that she has this? And how likely is it that my whole flock would have it!?
