Hen eating chick?:(

It’s day 22-23 and finally the eggs are hatching! I went in the coop and one has hatched plus there are a couple more pipped. Well I noticed one was halfway out and looked completely ready everything was there but it was dead. As I was trying to take it out she kept eating stuff from it or trying to eat the chick not sure. Is this normal? Should I be worried? This is my fist time hatching out chicks.

It's pretty normal to lose a chick or two when you're hatching out a clutch as far as I can tell, the reason that chickens and other birds have such a large number of offspring is the high mortality rate they have.
