hen eating her eggs

I have a coop with 1 roo and 5 hens. One of the hens came out of the nest with the eggshell in her beak, of course all the hens and rooster got their share. I took the hen out and clean their coop, but they have not layed a single egg since.
Its been 6 days and I dont know whats going on, I have been checking to see if they are eating them, but so far no trace of egg eating. I placed an egg in the nest to test them, no eating but no laying either. Please advise.

Was it a "soft" egg. If one of my ladies lays a soft egg, it will get eaten. Not sure why they have stopped laying, were they laying regularly before that?
