My hens eye is pink and draining quite a lot. When she opens her eye lid, all that is visible is pink. No white of the eye or cornea. I'm not sure if this is it's third eye lid swollen or what. There is also quite a lot of milky white fluid draining from the corner of her eye. Please help me! Any input or advice would sure be appreciated.

In this photo she does not have her eye opened full but the drainage fluid is visible. When her eye is open, all that is visible is like a thick, pink membrane.

Welcome to BYC. The black spot on her comb--is that fowl pox or just a peck wound? She has conjunctivitis in her eye, which usually is from a respiratory disease (especially with the sneezing and rattling in her chest.) It could be MG or coryza. Does her head have a very bad odor? Have you had her long or added new birds in the last week or so? How long has she been sick? Tylan 50 injectable, Gallimycin, and oxytetracycline can be used to treat symptoms of respiratory diseases, but the chickens in the flock usually all become carriers. Testing may be done through your state vet to determine the exact disease. Here is a good link to read about respiratory diseases and symptoms--pay special attention to IB, MG, coryza, and ILT:

I don't believe the black spot is anything. I'm not sure about the odor of her head. I just noticed her eye being this way this evening. I noticed some sneezing maybe about a week or two ago but they have been sick before and it has always resolved itself. I did get a new rooster about 6-7 weeks ago. Thanks for your comments
