This little guy is hen feathered, Just noticed it the other day, thought it was pretty strange so I though I would post a pic

Are you sure he is 100% serama? Is it at all possible that he could have some sebright (or I've read that some campines are hen feathered) genes in there somewhere? He's very cute, but I wonder if he will pass that on to his offspring? I'm not sure that would be a good thing... Please don't take offense

No sebright in there:) He is 4th generation from my birds hatched from original stock from Seramas of Tennesee. I do have a young son of his that I am suspecting is the same way, I need to go and look at him closer.:)nope, just went out and looked, his saddle feathers are coming in normal.

I don t know about you but I would love to have a true serama that is alittle different from everyone else. He is very nice!!!! Love that color......I don't see too many of that color around. How old is he??? He looks kind of young to have all feather out.

Great V shape and chest, but whats up with his comb?

Does he have pointy saddles? Or round ones? Or just no banner sickles?
Neato!

Genetics roulette--- lol
Thats a great way of describing serama genetics!

The reason I was asking age was I have one 5month old and 7 month old and the 7month old is just starting to get his saddle feathers, matbe hes just a late bloomer! But yeah good type to him though!
