Hen gasping for air

Have you been to a country fair or did you bring in new birds lately?

As ILT (Infectious Larygotracheitis) is highly contageous you would see more of your hens showing the same symptoms very soon.

Nope, I haven't been anywhere. No new birds in a long time either.
Yeah I Googled it, looks like it's mostly a commercial poultry farm thing. I only have 2 dozen-ish chickens. And they're all birds I've had for several years. The only other birds they come in contact with is the odd sparrow.

I know gapeworm is suggested way too frequently, and it's really pretty rare, but could that be a possibility perhaps?

It wouldn't hurt to treat for it. You can give 0.14 ml fenbendazole orally for five consecutive days. Do you have any Baytril (enrofloxacin)?
The sore in the mouth and the breathing make me think it is a respiratory infection. Are her nares clear?

She's got this yellow stuff on her face, I didn't mess with it while I was out there. Otherwise no, no discharge.

I have ivermectin and panacur. Can I use one of those? Is there an egg withdrawal?
Yes I do have baytril. I also have tylan and doxycycline if either of those might help.

Panacur is fenbendazole. Which one do you have? If it's 10% or 100mg/ml, the dose is 0.14 ml orally for five consecutive days. Egg withdrawal is probably at least two weeks.

Baytril is what I would give, but it's not supposed to be used in poultry. If that bothers you, try the Tylan. Which Tylan do you have? And what doxycycline do you have?

Oh that's right. I'm looking for my paste right now, I can't find it in by cabinet so I may be out. I could get more though. I usually just use the horse paste.

I use baytril quite a bit in my birds so that's ok. I can't remember which strength my baytril is though, I bought some from a friend and put it in a regular bottle.
The tylan is tylan 200.
I'll post pics of what I've got.

I also have amoxicillin and carprofen in my med drawer if those would be worth anything. They're old though.
