Hen got broody without layin eggs

Hi Guys! I have an Aseel hen of 18 months. She laid 8 eggs first time but didnt get broody. After that she didnt lay for 3 months and now she is broody. She used to find place to lay egg but didnt lay an egg in that time. I dont know whats going on. Everybody says her ovary is affected cause she got very much fat and overweight. My question is how she got broody without laying any egg for 3 months? And what should I do now?

I'm not familiar with that breed of chicken, but some chickens are just prone to going broody at the drop of a hat. Broodiness is a hormonal thing. Are you sure she is broody? Please describe her behavior.

I'm thinking that if she got "fat" that she is sick, and not broody. Is her belly swollen?
