My EE hen has bubbles in her eye! She has been molting so I’m not sure if she got a feather in her eye? What do I do?😨

Update: After a few minutes they started draining so I just took a wet napkin and gently dabbed her eye to get the rest of the bubbles out. Then I put some Neosporin on the edge of her eye.😉 She’s still acting completely normal so I’m not sure if her muffs were being annoying? She also has had kind of “over-watery” eyes her whole time she’s been with us (over a year).😉 So I think even if I wouldn’t have noticed it she would have been fine!😉

Sometimes a feather(s) from the muff will tickle or irritate an eye. Watch for headshaking or eye scratching as clues, or just closely inspect them once a month or so. Carefully trimming back muff feathers with scissors will take care of this problem. I've had to do it with my EE's on occasion in the past.

Thanks!❤️

Update: Pumpkin’s eye has bubbles in it again. The other eye looks kind of watery too. Also her nose is kind of watery.😔 I separated her but don’t know what else to do.😭
