Finally!! People that may understand!! I have a Rhode Islsnd Red chick who we are hoping it's a pullet. It ( I should say) is 6 weeks. People are saying that she is a pullet because her comb doesn't reach very far down her head but some people say she is a roo because of how big her comb is. What do you think?? We are hoping for a pullet. We got her from a feed store saying that they are 90% sure that they are all females.

I have a manly hen, too!

If that is an Australorp, I have the same one - she's the only one with light brown eyes (the other three have dark brown) with a big comb and wattles. Her tail is that of a hen, and she's not crowing (yet) - they're all 5 months old now.
