I have 22 hens, One suddenly has matted, missing feathers on her rear end. It appears her rectum is swollen and bright red. It may be a whitish diarrhea. She does not appear lethargic and is eating and drinking. I am concerned that the other chickens will get infected. No sign of that yet. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

I'd start with a warm bath (shallow pan of water, a bit of mild soap) to clean her up, then isolate her and get her comfortable. I'm guessing she is laying age so you need to see if she is laying, and what the poop looks like.

Then give us a bit more info:

age and breed
weight -- meaning, does she feel thin, is her keel bone sharp, etc.
diet, treats
housing/bedding/letter
pics, if you can
