You trimmed the feathers with scissors?
I don't think the redness is anything to worry about, everything looks pretty normal. As I said before, sometimes when the skin is exposed to sunlight it gets redder. I would watch for feather picking back there from others, those short feather shafts could draw attention. Hopefully not.
