I hope your hen is better. If you need to do further maintenance on her wound, mild saline washes will work better than peroxide, which has issues mentioned before.

Just irrigate the area with the saline. It can dry and will help keep varmints out too. I have used straight epsom salts granules sprinkled on wounds for horses, cattle, cats and dogs, but not yet on a chicken. That would dry, permit quick healing and not draw flies. We didn't even have scars on some pretty big cuts. After I had done this for years, a people friend had to endure amputation. She said the hospital had her use saline to irrigate her various surgery issues which included an intestinal resection.
