Hen injury to claw/foot

I just saw that an older hen in our flock is not putting weight on one of her feet -- apparently she has had an injury to her claw and there is no toenail on that foot. The area has scabbed over (black scab). I've isolated her and washed the toe/foot, applied Aquaphor and antibiotic cream. Any other ideas?

I'd just keep it as clean as you can and use the antibiotic ointment. Keep an eye out for infection. As long as it is healing and she's getting good nutrition that's a really good start.
