Hen is crowing

Hi so our 7 week old chick (don't really know what you call a female chick... pullet?) Just started crowing today. Chickens aren't exactly legal here, so just wondering if there is any way to stop her from crowing? I don't want to use a crow collar, just because I don't want to take the risk, and don't think it is very humane. Any advice?

If you have a 7 week old crowing it's most likely a cockerel. Do you have any photos?

Hens/pullets can and do crow... but at 7 weeks, I suspect it was sexed incorrectly.

Why get chickens if they aren't allowed? Whether we agree with them or not, rules and laws are in place for a reason.

My advice is to rehome. Or maybe consider moving where you can legally have the animals you want or at least working towards it. No rudeness intended.

Maybe post a picture of crowing pullet so we can identify gender is accurate?

Also I keep chickens because they are so smart and loving... especially when you give them mealworms within 10 minutes I just trained all 4 of them to come, and 1 of them to do "circle" (it was adorable)

Comb redness, hackle & saddle feathers, and crowing.

At my children's school a teacher has some hobby chickens (like 30-50ish) and she takes any roosters from us
