hen is getting mean

I have 2 hens that have been together for about a year now so they already have figured out the pecking order so I don't understand why the hen that already is the boss all of a sudden has the need to chase the other hen every where and push her out of the way from food and what ever she's doing the other hen is not letting her be happy. the poor hen that's being chased has a bad case of ptsd already from a hawk taking her when she was young and dropping her from the sky. she had bad wounds and I did not think she would live but I nursed her back to health and now she's grown and now has a mean hen chasing her and scaring her. please help! not sure how to stop the other hen

You might need to isolate them from each other to prevent injuries...

How many chickens total? If a flock of more than 2, I’d separate the bully For a week. When she comes back, she’ll be the new girl.

Also pecking order isn't a set in stone sort of thing, it's fluid and things can and will change over time, so even birds that have a set order for years can still find themselves at odds if something changes (a molt for example makes everyone crankier).

I have 1 silkie but she doesn't bother anything and the 2 other hens.they have free range of the back yard

You might have to separate the bully for about a week. Hopefully it will improve her attitude
