Hen is Hanging out in the coop

I have 9 pullets born April 21, 2010. One RIR for two days has been "loosing her balance" squatting while scratching. She tends to drop a wing to steady herself. She is still eating and getting around and noticeably hanging out in the coop for the first time ever today. She is 19 weeks old. Is she getting ready to lay her first egg or has she caught sickness bug? Any help would be appreciated . I have had very good success with these healthy and spoiled ladies. I am new to this chicken thing so I am really not sure.

I'd check her very closely, see if she has an injury. It is also possible she is egg bound. I think it is a bit young for that problem, but it is a possibility.

Is she walking like a penguin? If so, that's a symptom of being egg bound.

Have you picked her up and felt her abdomen? Feel anything unusual?

Well we just went out and observed for another 15 minutes. Something is wrong. She is closing one eye some of the time and pecking but not hitting anything most of the time. I did pick her up and feel her leg and tummy. I noted nothing broken. Poached seem to loose her balance now and them but always catches herself by dropping a wing. None of my chickens have laid an egg yet.

Something is definitely wrong. I'd repost this in the emergencies section. Do both of her eye's look okay?

All is well. After two days feeding her yogurt and chick starter she has fully recovered. Happy and healthy. YEAH!
