I noticed that a hen of mine is breathing heavily, has bubbles around her eye, has a congested nose and every now and then she opens up her mouth as if gasping for air. She doesn't move much she still eats a little. I cleaned her up after the photo.

Looks like eye and respiratory infection. You had a thread recently with another bird with eye infection. Were you able to treat that?

I'd follow the suggestion made on the other thread in treating this Silkie. Link to your other thread along with suggestion, posted below.

I would rinse her eye twice a day with saline or an eye wash such as Bausch and Lomb Eye Relief. Then clean out any gunk. Apply either Terramycin or plain Neosporin twice a day. She might have a sinus infection from mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) which can be treated with antibiotics such as Tylosin or Denagard. Tylosin dosage is 1 tsp per gallon of water for 5 days. Here is where to buy it:

Yes, I was able to treat her! She's well and running. I was planning on treating her with the same medicine I had treated my other hen with but was unsure until further instructions. Thank you!
