Hen keeps falling over

was she vaccinated for mareks?

if not i would be tempted to cull, she is a the right age for mareks to show up from what i have read.
i believe that vaccination is only about 90% effective.

also was the rest of your flock vaccinated? if not, that would be another reason to cull, to reduce the chance of spreading.

sorry you have to deal with these kind of choices.

I cant remember the post on here but someone had a hen sort of like that and it had an ear infection that caused the off balancing. I still think I would try the poly visol without iron for a couple of days if it doesnt clear by then could be something else.

X's......start with the simple stuff first.......

#1 quanentene
#2 poly visol
#3 high energy foods
#4 warmth and quiet
#5 look in her ear openings to see if there is anything visible
#6 IF things do get worse after this is done, THEN start thinking beyond the simple......
Hope this helps and keep us posted.......

I went out today and no problems!!! Not only that but I got my first two eggs!!! I have the poly visol on hand now so if I see it again I'll give it to her! I'm more excited about my eggs now!

That is great news about your girl - congratulations on the eggs.... the first are always memorable!

Hope she continues to thrive

Good luck
