I know they don't all lay everyday the only one I have that has laid everyday since she started laying is my RSL like clock work buy 10 am no later there is an egg in the box from her
Okay speaking of my RSL okay I know she sits at the top of the pecking order I figured that out when I introduced the 3 new older hens (new to my flock but they are older than my flock) the older girls have been free ranging with the everyone during the day but sleep in a different coop at night I just haven't gotten around to moving them into the big coop yet
Now my RSL and WR lay in the nest boxes in that is in the big coop the out of the 3 older ladies 2 of them rather lay in the smaller coop which is fine with me I have no problem with that the issue is that if any of the 3 ladies go into the small coop to lay (which is their coop) my RSL goes in and chases them out even tho she doesn't use that coop at all why does she do it if thats not her coop? Is just because she is the head hen or is she just wanting to be a little B***H?
