Could be from the soaking, could be from scaly leg mites. Both conditions are quick and cheap to fix; rub cooking oil into the legs, working your way from top to bottom. I prefer to use sunflower oil as it's cheap and super quick to absorb into their skin.
FYI, the oil smothers leg mites; no oxygen, no mites.

It feels like it's back to how it was. The plug is dark and hard again

I have been coating her legs with petroleum jelly just in case.

She does seem better. Like she doesn't require much rest now.

The plug is also a scab... I'd leave it alone at this point unless it looks red, inflamed, exceptionally warm to the touch etc. The surrounding tissue may be swollen due to the attention. Give it another couple days of rest and reassess her condition.

Petroleum jelly will do the same as the cooking oil for suffocating any possible mites that hide under the scales. I just find applying cooking oil so much easier... and I don't find the feel of the oil as offensive (to my delicate senses ).

I was lathering on petroleum jelly and she thought it was food! She took a huge bite of it!! I suppose cooking oil is a better option.

I tried taking out the pus of another hen, whose treatment I had started with the one I uploaded this thread for.
Her foot keeps bleeding whenever I try to take the plug out. And today, it just wouldn't stop! Even though I gave her 5 days worth of rest.

The bleedig was so much that I spent the entire afternoon just trying to treat her.

It's dark now and I bandaged her tight due to bleeding. I will post a picture tomorrow when I change her bedding.
