Hen keeps sneezing.

Just after closing them in for the night. She was in and out of the nest box all evening, no egg though.
She was up on the roost with the others when I closed them in.

Also when checking her and the other hens, I noticed their tongues were black ?

The medicine is yellow and there’s no plants around here that would cause their tongues to go black.
:hmm
I don't know. Did all of them drink the antibiotic water?
A photo of the tongue would be interesting.

Eggs are all normal so far today.

One little wrinkle in this egg, nothing too major.
I’ll take a photo of their tongue when I’m closing them in, probably is just the medicine.
The hen that we brought to the vets still hasn’t laid her egg.
Walking around as usual but she was in and out of the nest box all day yesterday....
Still sneezing but not as much, they can eat their food and drink their water with no problems now at least.

No that’s another hens egg. The Hen that was brought to the vets hasn’t laid yet but seems to be trying too.:hmm
Oh, I misunderstood!
Well, to me that looks like a body checked egg - some type of disturbance while laying or while the egg was in the shell gland.
Could be another hen looked at her funny while she was in the process - you know how chickens are some get perturbed over just about anything.

I recall myself putting some decorative bark chips in their run a couple times this winter when it got muddy, did some research on using bark chips with chickens and read that the bark chips give off harmful spores when breaking down that can cause respiratory illness :hmm
