Hen laying- eggs overdue- Will she move on her own?

I have a hen that has been sitting on her eggs for about 30 days now maybe a touch longer. I'm know there was a bad egg because she kicked it out. I haven't seen or heard anything and so don't think any have hatched. I'm wondering if she will get off them or are the eggs just being slow or ???. I want nature to play it's course but don't know if I need to help her. Thanks for any thoughts.

she will get off them if they are bad, have you candled any of them. Pick one up and put it to youre ear and tap it.

I'm not able to get one of her eggs from her or even able to really look into her nest. (My first time oops!!). I have learned my lesson and this nest area will be removed as soon as she is outta there. All nesting areas must be easy to get to!!!

This hen has been sitting on her nest for well over 35 days (all day). I tried hatching some in the incubator and that did not work either. I think that maybe the eggs some how are not fertile. The last reply said she would get off if their bad but she just doesn't budge.

When I went out this afternoon and checked on her I noticed that she has water/liquid coming out of her nose and that the end of her beak is quite large. I check on her at least 2 times per day and this is new. The weather is horrible hear and her nest is outside and so I have been thinking that's why she hasn't moved.

Should I be worried? I'm letting nature play it's course but I'm not sure if the nose and beak thing is signs of sickness or normal. Please help. Thanks

My turkey hen is doing the same thing. I tried to see if she has any eggs left under her. I couldn't get her up enough to see under her. I used tongs but they just couldn't get the job done. I have another hen that has been sitting for about a week now. Not sure what to do with the hen that's been sitting for over a month either. She looks fine and our weather has been good.

If she has been on the eggs 35 days they are toast. If she has sinus drainage you need to start treating her with tylan 50. 1cc/ml per 10lbs body weight twice a day for a week. Don't inject in the same spot all the time, if you wish you can shoot it down her throat. You may have to force her from the nest into lock up for a few days to get her over her broody stage. I personally would go at night and start treating her with the tylan and make sure she has plenty of water available and high protein food to recoup from her extended stay on the nest. You could buy a few chicks and put them under her at night, she might be happy wiht them and forget about her eggs.

So, Is there a name for the sickness my bird is showing? Or is it just depression?
