We’ve had chickens for 4 years now, and I’ve never had one do this until now. She’ll be a year old closer to fall, and seems perfectly healthy - I haven’t noticed any weird behavior with her legs during the day. She is wearing peepers currently due to her picking on this spring’s additions, but exhibits zero issues navigating with them on.

At night when I do a head count, she will be up on the roost, leaning against the support beam of the roost, with her one leg stretched out to the side on the roost. Her toes relaxed/curled, not gripping the roost at all. She’ll straighten up sometimes as she’s looking at me and then as she gets sleepy, she leans again and that leg slips clear out to the side again.

Lazy? Weird sleeper? Any ideas? 🤔
