Uh.. no. Eat it.guys I’m new to having chickens
the hen found a place and laid an egg but she just left it.
what do I do? Can I raise it for her?
Laying chickens lay and egg and walk away. If/when they go broody, they set on the clutch that has accumulated and try to hatch them out. Typically 7-10 days worth of eggs.guys I’m new to having chickens

x2. Basically what I would have said.Laying chickens lay and egg and walk away. If/when they go broody, they set on the clutch that has accumulated and try to hatch them out. Typically 7-10 days worth of eggs.
Is there a rooster among the flock?
My suggestion is putting it in the fridge and enjoying an omelette when she gives you a few more.
If there is a rooster, you can get an incubator and incubate the eggs to hatch chicks. If a hen starts being broody, you can let her incubate her eggs as they will develop if she sits on them.Yes there a rooster in the bunch. Thank you for the replies.
Hey there. So if you have a rooster, your eggs are probably fertilized. However, they need to be cared for by a broody hen or incubated in an incubator in order to develop and hatch. Your chickens are doing what they’re supposed to do... all you have to do is collect the eggs daily and enjoy!Yes there a rooster in the bunch. Thank you for the replies.
